Basic Needs

Each day, we provide safe shelter, nutritious meals, and hygiene items to nearly 500 men, women, and children.

Case Management

Case managers help our guests address their needs, establish goals, and return to stable, permanent housing as quickly as possible. They serve as a crucial support system, providing genuine empathy and respect for those seeking assistance. Case managers possess in-depth knowledge of available resources and proven expertise in guiding clients to stability.

VIctims of Crime Act (VOCA) Program
The VOCA Program offers specialized case management, counseling, and support groups for victims of crime.

Veterans Program
Our Veterans Program addresses the unique challenges facing veterans. Participants in the Program are assigned case managers who specialize in meeting their specific needs.

Housing

When guests arrive at the Coalition, they immediately begin working with their case manager on an individualized housing plan. This may include applying for supportive housing programs, entering the Coalition's Rapid ReHousing or Bridge Housing programs, or working with local landlords to secure a room or apartment rental.

Rapid ReHousing Program
Our Rapid Re-Housing Program places families with children in independent housing units in the community and offers social services to prepare families to sustain their housing at the completion of the program.

Bridge Housing
Located in the Coalition’s on-site apartments, bridge housing is “gap” housing for homeless families who are awaiting affordable rental units.

Early Childhood Development Center: Childcare & VPK

We have an on-site, fully-licensed childcare center and a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) classroom, so parents can focus on saving money, working, looking for work, or taking classes.

Our daycare and VPK staff addresses the issues facing our youngest guests. Homeless children are more likely to show delayed development and have learning disabilities. They can struggle with low self-esteem, behavioral problems, and limited social skills. Our nurturing staff works hard to teach and uplift the children in their care.
Hours:
Monday – Friday
7:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Referrals

Our case managers provide guests with referrals to help them obtain identification, access medical care and mental health services, enroll in education programs, and so much more.

Featured Story

Dawn & Miracle

Dawn, along with her two-year-old daughter, was evicted from her apartment after discovering her roommate was stealing her portion of the rent, rather than paying the landlord.

"We didn't have anywhere to go. I tried to keep Miracle as comfortable as I could in the backseat of the car. Honestly, the only thing I knew to do was pray that there was something out there that could help us."

Luckily, Dawn called the Coalition and was welcomed into our Rapid ReHousing Program, where she met her Housing Manager, Brenda.

Brenda says, "While my clients are with me, we work on making budgets and creating goals for the future." Another key aspect of Brenda's role is to build relationships with property managers and landlords.

"A lot of the families come to me with past evictions or things in their background that can cause some roadblocks," Brenda explains. "To get through that barrier, I assure the landlords that my clients will have me by their side supporting them. I also make it a point to thank them because without them giving these families a second chance, they would have nowhere to go."

Within a month of becoming homeless and living in their car, Brenda handed Dawn the keys to her new apartment.

"I'm thankful that the Coalition has programs that can help families like mine. We are truly blessed beyond our measure," Dawn says.
