Serving Central Florida since 1987.
Mission & History
Our mission is to transform the lives of men, women and children by providing crucial services to end their crisis of homelessness.
Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida was formed in 1987 by a group of concerned citizens who noted a growing problem of homelessness in our community.
We are a short-term residential shelter with a focus on housing, emergency services, and diversion. We help families and individuals return to stable, permanent homes as quickly as possible.
Each day we serve more than 500 men, women and children through our residential programs, as well as more than 100 unsheltered individuals through our community initiatives.
Through the support of our community, the Coalition has been able to evolve and adapt to the changing needs – and the changing faces – of the homeless for over three decades.
Our Campus
Our campus, located in downtown Orlando, is home to four facilities.
Intake Center
Opened in 2018, the Intake Center is the starting point for those seeking help at the Coalition. It is home to our Diversion Services.
Center for Women & Families
Opened in 1993, the Center for Women & Families (CWF) accommodates 240 individuals, including single women, single mothers, and families.
Men's Service Center
Opened in 2014, the Men's Service Center (MSC) accommodates 250 single homeless men.
Board of Directors
The members of our Board of Directors are thought leaders who have made a significant contribution to our community. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
