A goal of the Coalition is to help move clients from emergency shelter into stable, affordable housing. The agency operates two community housing programs to help re-establish households in the community by offering rental assistance, case management and supportive services. To be accepted into either the Scattered Site Housing Program or Housing Now, clients must have demonstrated a commitment to living independently and meet certain criteria. At the end of their program term, clients are expected to be self-sufficient and contributing members of our community.
Scattered Site Housing Program
Coalition clients who have demonstrated economic and employment stability, along with a required amount of savings for the future, are moved into the community through the Scattered Site Housing Program. They receive rental assistance for up to a year and continued case management.
Housing Now Program
Housing Now targets families who have recently become homeless, yet are likely to return to self-sufficiency with a reasonable amount of rental assistance, case management and supportive services from the Coalition. The program focuses on families with children that have moderate housing barriers, such as: a temporary financial strain, insufficient childcare resources, inadequate education and/or a poor credit history. Clients with more significant barriers are referred to alternative housing programs. |
