Schenck Company Giving Spirit Benefits Coalition Children

ORLANDO, Fla. — (Dec 24, 2007)—Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida was the grateful recipient of an entire van load of new toys from the associates of Schenck Company. Last week's generous donation typified the 53-year old local company's continuous support of the Coalition's programs and services.

"All we had to do was put the word out to our Orlando Area Associates that we wanted to collect new toys for the Coalition, and hundreds of our people got right to work," said Nancy D. Tallent, Schenck Vice President of Human Capital. "Schenck Associates have big hearts for the less fortunate of our community."

This past weekend, homeless parents residing at the Coalition's Center for Women and Families and Transitional Apartments selected the "perfect gifts" from among these toys and the others so generously donated by Central Florida businesses and individuals. Their children will now be able to receive gifts from mom, dad and/or Santa Claus on Christmas morning.

"The Coalition could not help homeless individuals on the road to self-sufficiency without wonderful volunteers and donors such Schenck Company and their employees," stated Coalition for the Homeless President/CEO Brent Trotter. "Their giving spirit, especially during the holidays, is extremely appreciated by every one of us."
