COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS LAUNCHES NEW WEB SITE
(Online tool will capture the changing face of homelessness in Central Florida)
ORLANDO, FLA. — (December 1, 2005) — Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida has a new resource for people looking for more information about the changing face of homelessness in Central Florida. At www.centralfloridahomeless.org, visitors can find the latest Coalition information, inspirational stories from clients and opportunities for people to get involved with the Coalition's mission.
The Web site, designed to have frequent updates and new content, will also feature an online donation tool and up-to-date information on volunteer opportunities at the Coalition. “We continue to see a growing number of children and families who turn to the Coalition for shelter,” notes Robert H. Brown, president and CEO of the Coalition. “This reformatted and repurposed online tool will give people in Central Florida and anywhere on the World Wide Web an up-to-date resource on homelessness.”
The Web site is designed and hosted by YPB&R Interactive, an Orlando-based advertising, public relations, and interactive agency.
About the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida
The Coalition for the Homeless is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida. This non-profit organization works to address the needs of the homeless in the community and serves as a catalyst for community collaboration to end homelessness by offering comprehensive case management programs to help the homeless become self-sufficient. In the most recent fiscal year, the Coalition served more than 360,000 meals and provided over 240,000 nights of shelter to homeless individuals.
