COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS OF CENTRAL FLORIDA ELECTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS DURING ANNUAL MEETING
(New board members will serve on 42-member volunteer board which oversees the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida.)
ORLANDO, Fla. — (November 11, 2005) — Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida recently elected five new board members for the 2005-2006 fiscal year. Joining the board of directors are five prominent leaders in the community: David Chase, Tracey Ellerson, Glenn Fournier, Lee Nimkoff and Janet Rapp.
David Chase is the Director of Information Technology for the Orlando Magic. He has twenty-five years experience in the technology field, where he has held staff and senior management positions for companies such as KPMG, Nickelodeon Studios and the U.S. Navy.
Tracey Ellerson is a partner for Baker & Hostetler LLP in the employment and labor group. Ellerson has worked on every aspect of employment law, from advising both in-house counsel and human resource professionals on a variety of issues to litigating before state and federal courts. Ellerson also volunteers with Legal Aids’ Guardian Ad Litem and the Veteran’s Consortium Pro Bono Program.
Glenn Fournier is Vice President of Development for CNL Realty & Development Corp. In his capacity, Glenn is involved in site acquisitions, project feasibility and delivery. Fournier is also involved with Give Kids the World, Shepard’s Hope and Orlando Regional Healthcare.
Lee Nimkoff is the Immediate Past President of the Junior League of Greater Orlando, Inc. and co-owner of the property management firm Brio Properties in Winter Park. Nimkoff’s other nonprofit experiences include The Orlando Chamber of Commerce, The National Conference for Community Justice and the Orange County Public Schools Foundation.
Janet Rapp is a Tax Partner and Director of Operations for the public accounting firm Geller, Ragans, James, Oppenheimer & Creel. Rapp attended Rollins College and is a University of Florida Alumni. Rapp is also active with the Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festival, Boy Scouts, and Orangewood Presbyterian Church
Doug Spencer, Vice President Customer Care Connections at Orlando Utilities Commission, signed on for another year as chairman of the board; while Fred Kittinger Jr., Associate Vice President for University Relations for the University of Central Florida, was voted in as the new vice chairman of the board for the Coalition for the Homeless.

Coalition for the Homeless is the largest provider of residential services for children in Central Florida .One out of every four people the Coalition serves is a child, with an average age of eight-years-old.
The Coalition works to address the needs of the homeless in the community and serves as a catalyst for community collaboration to end homelessness by offering comprehensive programs and job training to help the homeless return to self-sufficiency.
