WHAT: Doug Spencer 14th Annual Golf Challenge
To benefit Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida
WHEN: Friday, May 7, 2010
12 Noon – 6:00 pm (tee-off @ 1:00 pm)
WHERE: Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge

WHY/HOW: This fundraiser is not your usual golf tournament!
Golfers are asked to raise a minimum of $1,500 in pledges from sponsoring friends and associates. Pledges can be per-hole, or a flat donation. Golfers then play as many holes as possible in five hours, challenging each other to be the winning golfer!

INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES:

Doug Spencer of Spencer Consulting Services - event name-sake and a past Coalition for the Homeless Board member and chairman, who last year single-handedly raised $17,770 for his 125 holes!

OTHER: Want to join the Challenge? Golfers can pre-register by 5pm Thursday, May 6th or register on-site at 12 noon Friday.

About Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida:

Coalition for the Homeless is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida and the largest residential facility for children. On a given night, the Coalition provides services to nearly 200 children. Their average age is less than six years old. Over 70% of our resources come from individuals, businesses, faith-based groups, special events such as the Golf Challenge, and other private sector sources.
