WHAT: Coalition for the Homeless 11th Annual Golf Challenge

WHEN: Friday, April 20, 2007
12 Noon – 7:00 pm (tee-off @ 1:00 pm)

WHERE: Shingle Creek Golf Club
9939 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819

WHY/HOW: This fundraiser is not your usual golf tournament!
Golfers are asked to raise a minimum of $2,000 in pledges from sponsoring friends and associates. Pledges can be per-hole, or a flat donation. Golfers then play as many holes as possible in six hours, challenging each other to be the winning golfer!

OPPORTUNITIES:
Doug Spencer, OUC Vice President of Customer Connections and Coalition for the Homeless Board member, who has single-handedly raised over $25,000 in pledges for his planned 90-or-more holes! (Last year, he played 93 holes!) Brent Trotter, President/CEO, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida; and Channel 6’s Lee Goldberg - one of the golfers!

About Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida:

Coalition for the Homeless is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida and the largest residential facility for children. On a given night, almost 200 children call the Coalition home. The average age is less than eight-years-old. Almost 70% of our resources come from individuals, businesses, faith-based groups, special events such as the Golf Challenge, and other private sector sources.
