WHY: The Coalition for the Homeless is the charity of choice for the Show. At the Children's Art Gallery, booth #1209, the Coalition is selling original photographs, paintings and pottery created by homeless youth who live at the Coalition, as part of the ABCs Program. All art work proceeds will benefit the Coalition's children's programs.

The ABCs Program is a community collaboration of individuals representing Central Florida's arts, business, and education communities and the Coalition for the Homeless to bring the arts to children who call the Coalition their home.

STUDY IDEAS : Over 200 children call the Coalition home each night. Focus on the number of homeless children and their families, and how the Coalition helps them deal with the variety of emotions they may feel. As one of our children's programs, ABCs helps youngsters express their emotions in a positive and creative way.

Encourage the community to buy an art work created by a homeless child to help support children's programs at the Coalition for the Homeless.
